Scope

This is an ongoing project that will encompass the sale of engraved bricks to be placed in a memorial "T" and commemorative engraved bricks to be placed in outlying areas.

Mission Statement

We have united to bring honor to those Tonganoxie Students that have passed and bring unity and pride to the Tonganoxie community.

Bylaws

Article I
A Governing Board comprised of 7 members will maintain the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Chieftain Remembrance Walk. The board will be comprised of the following members: USD #464 Board of Education President, USD #464 Superintendent, USD #464 High School Principal, Tonganoxie Alumni President, Chieftain Remembrance Walk Committee Chairman, USD #464 Athletic Director and one at-large member. The at-large member will be appointed by the other 6 Board members yearly.

A Chieftain Remembrance Walk Committee (CRWC) will be comprised of community members devoted to upholding the Mission Statement. The CRWC will uphold the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations. The CRWC will vote to appoint a chairman, vice chairman, secretary and treasurer each year.

Article II
The CRWC will work with the USD #464 Administration and Board of Education to assure that this project complies with restrictions and guidelines set forth by the before mentioned parties.

Article III
The CRWC will maintain an active bank account to house the proceeds from the Chieftain Remembrance Walk. These proceeds will be used for future enhancements, scholarships in the name of Lucas Frantz and other suggestions for supporting the memorial as approved by the Governing Board outlined in Article I.

Rules And Regulations

1. The Chieftain Remembrance Walk Committee (CRWC) and Governing Board reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of the wording on each brick face.

2. The CRWC will develop and maintain the request approval process and post engraving validation process.

3. Payment must accompany each order. The price to purchase bricks may be changed by the CRWC and Governing Board as deemed necessary.

4. Fund balances up to $1000 should be reserved for future enhancements and supporting projects to the Chieftain Remembrance Walk.

5. Funds over $1000 may be used for scholarships of $500 each to be given to graduating USD #464 student(s) in the name of Lucas Frantz. A maximum of two scholarships will be awarded per fiscal year.

6. Notice of CRWC meetings should be distributed to the Governing Board a minimum of 1 week in advance.

7. The Governing Board shall meet a minimum of 1 time per year.
